Time and Temperature Building Urges Portland To CALL-JOE
The Law Offices of Joe Bornstein is pleased to announce its latest marketing venture. In an attempt to promote our new telephone number, 1-800-CALL-JOE, our new advertising takes us high above downtown Portland atop the Time and Temperature Building. In a repetitive sequence of four that begins with the current time and temperature, our ad flashes: “CALL” and then “JOE”
Located at 477 Congress Street, the Time and Temperature Building is a longstanding fixture in the Portland skyline. Built in 1924, the building was once home to Maine’s first indoor shopping center on its ground floor. Today, the 14-story office building is home to many prominent businesses, including local television and radio stations, and is visible throughout Portland and as far away as Peaks Island.
The illuminated sign above the building was first installed in 1964 and flashes continuously 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Casco Bank was the first business to advertise on the sign and for several years “WMTW” “NEWS” could be seen high in the Portland sky. In the winter, during a citywide parking ban, the sign reads “Park” “Ban” to inform Portland residents.
The Law Offices of Joe Bornstein is proud to be the latest advertiser adorning the historic Time and Temperature Building. With a statewide practice specializing in personal injury and Social Security Disability law, the Law Offices of Joe Bornstein is a local Maine law firm that has been in continuous operation for over 36 years. The firm’s flagship office is located on the corner of Moulton and Commercial Streets in Portland’s Old Port District, just down the street from the city landmark.
