'CROM WELL' Time And Temperature Building Message Honors The Cromwell Center For Disabilities Awareness

The Law Offices of Joe Bornstein is proud to once again be a corporate sponsor of the Cromwell Center’s Annual Dinner & Silent Auction. As part of our pledge of support for this important cause, we are donating time and space on Portland’s Time & Temperature Building to bring awareness to the organization and its event. For one week, Congress Street’s illuminated skyscraper will display the message ‘CROM WELL’ to honor the extraordinary, tireless efforts of those who advocate for disabled children and adults in Maine.

The 2011 Annual Dinner & Silent Auction is scheduled for Thursday, June 23, 5:30pm to 9pm at Portland Marriott at Sable Oaks in South Portland.

The evening will commence with a social hour and silent auction followed by dinner and presentation of the Guest of Honor to former Boston Red Sox All Star, Dwight “Dewey” Evans. The evening will conclude with an exciting live auction followed by dancing to the disco sounds of Motor Booty Affair.

The Cromwell Center for Disabilities Awareness was founded in 2003 to help ensure that people with all kinds of disabilities receive the same respect, acceptance and opportunity to which every person is entitled. The non-profit organization offers informative presentations, disability awareness programs and interactive training activities to students, educators and workplace professionals.

Today, approximately 56 million Americans or 20 percent of the population live with some kid of disability, be it of the learning, behavioral, developmental or physical capacity. The impact a disability can have on a person’s life can be severe, but can also be mitigated through education that changes attitudes and encourages respect.

As a longstanding board member of the Cromwell Center, Joe Bornstein is proud to promote the Cromwell Center’s annual Dinner & Silent Auction and support an organization that helps make Maine a more accepting and understanding environment for all of its residents.

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.”  -Winston Churchill.
