'ITN RIDE' Time And Temperature Building Message Supports Independent Transportation Network (ITN)

The Law Offices of Joe Bornstein is proud to be a corporate sponsor of the upcoming Walk For Rides, ITNPortland's 9th annual fundraising event. In honor of the organization and its upcoming event, we are donating the time and space on Portland's Time and Temperature Building to promote this worthwhile cause. The illuminated skyscraper sign will display the message 'ITN RIDE' for one week.

The Walk for Rides fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, June 18th at 9am at Back Cove across from the Hannaford on Forest Avenue in Portland.

ITNPortland is a service that provides safe, accessible and dignified mobility options to seniors and visually impaired adults. The local non-profit organization provides approximately 16,000 rides to 1,000 members annually.

ITNPortland:

  • Is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Is available for any type of ride within the service area with no limitations on ride purpose
  • Is available to people 65 years and older
  • Is available to adults with visual impairments

On average, men outlive driving by six years and women by ten. By using ITN, seniors have an alternate to driving that preserves their independence and ensures that our roads are safe for all. Each year, more than 18,000 seniors die in car crashes in the United States, a fatality rate second only to teenagers.

To register to participate in the Portland walk, either as a walker or a volunteer, please visit ITNPortland’s website: http://walkforrides.org/ITNPortland/ or call (207) 854-0505 for more information.

The Law Offices of Joe Bornstein encourages Mainers to take part in this
worthwhile cause, enjoy a nice stroll along Back Cove and make a valuable
impact in helping ITNPortland assist the aging and visually disabled population
in our community
